Alluvial Deposits

A moment
when the earth
touches,
~
around the bend
of the sun,
~
gold melts into me;
a river in the night.

A Riddle (?): The Desert and the Cricket are Friends of Mine

Sugar in my veins;
I can freeze before the thaw.

When it’s dry… oh so very dry,
my body sheds it’s skin,
into a waterproof house,

And when the river flows,
you will hear my soft echoes
into the night.

In land or water or both;
what am I, when i’m proof
of the living dead?

Walking Through Life With The Force of Nature

Where water meets land
20130601-151911.jpg

we begin our journey,
20130601-152100.jpg

layers grow over time,

20130601-170041.jpg

as we walk through forests of destruction,
20130601-152822.jpg

growth after adversity can be found, for

20130601-152433.jpg

our waters run deep
20130601-153038.jpg

like the force of nature,
20130601-153144.jpg

saying no to the attack, and
20130601-153612.jpg

bending like the blades of grass,
20130601-153753.jpg

we are reminded where we came from,
20130601-153905.jpg

ending from where we began.

Smooth Stones of Thoughts

Thoughts are like the
smooth stones,
that run along the river.

Broken away from the
Earth’s bones,
that are gold and silver.

They collect and lay
under nooks and cracks,
weary are the deer,
wolf, and bear tracks.

For the Eagle knows
how alone you lay,
as you shimmer
in it’s eyes,

More precious together yet hard to realize.
